Arbre tortueux dans une forêt de feuillus

Scientific committee

The Scientific Council (CS) guides the scientific orientations of the PEPR. It has an advisory role and is led by Catherine Bastien (INRAE). The council is composed of French and international scientific experts, with a balanced representation of men and women, from various institutions, bringing recognized and complementary visions and skills. The council's work is based on the PEPR's 4 scientific challenges.

Its main functions include :

  • Supporting scientific programming by participating in the preparation of the research agenda, including drafting the open call for projects and contributing to the planning of scientific events.
  • Monitoring the implementation of the scientific program by regularly hearing from targeted project leaders (PC) and winners of the call for projects (AAP), providing opinions on the quality and relevance of research activities in the projects, ensuring good complementarity between the PC and projects selected in the AAP, and promoting interdisciplinary construction of the PEPR.
  • Contributing to raising the visibility of the FORESTT program and promoting the establishment or consolidation of links with other initiatives at the national and international levels.

The Scientific Council meets at least annually, as well as at the request of the COMEX or project leaders.
